Introduction

Automatic Shrink Wrapper Working Principle
- Feeding and Film Wrapping: A conveyor belt feeds the products into the packaging machine. When the photoelectric switch detects the products, it sends a signal to the PLC, which then controls actuators such as pneumatic cylinders according to a preset program to perform the layering and film-wrapping operations.
- Sealing and Cutting: The transverse sealing bar, driven by pneumatic pressure and controlled by electronic temperature regulation, cuts and seals the film, enclosing the product within the film sleeve.
- Heating and Shrinking: The product enters the shrink tunnel, where heating elements generate high temperatures—typically reaching around 260°C—causing the film to rapidly shrink and conform to the product’s contours. Heating methods include quartz far-infrared tubes, glass tubes, stainless steel heating modules, and others.
- Cooling and Setting: After shrinking, the product is cooled, causing the packaging layer to set firmly. This ensures a secure seal and provides protection against moisture, contamination, and some impact.
